Sam Royko is an attorney, community advocate, and proud Chicagoan. After his girlfriend Erin was violently pulled from the driver's seat in a Wicker Park carjacking, Sam spearheaded a community effort to draw attention to the unprecedented increase in violent crime, and to better support victims.
As Alderman, Sam will work to reduce crime in the short term, address the root causes of violence and invest more in housing, mental health treatment, and economic opportunity.
Sam will always fight for working families, and work together with communities for the future of the 1st Ward.
